The Customer Targeting feature in your Free Shipping Bar app allows you to control who sees your shipping bar. This helps you create more personalized experiences for different customer groups.

✅ Step 1: Open the Free Shipping Bar App

1️⃣ Go to your Shopify admin → Apps → Hoppy Free Shipping app.

2️⃣Create a new bar or edit an existing one.

✅ Step 2: Set Your Content & Goals

3️⃣ In the Content tab, define your shipping goals (e.g., free shipping at $50).

4️⃣ Customize the appearance and messages.

✅ Step 3: Go to Placement → Customer Targeting

5️⃣ Scroll down to the Customer Targeting section.

Display Bar To🎯

  • All Customers👥 → Show the bar to everyone visiting your store.

  • By Customer Tag🏷️ → Show the bar only to customers with specific tags (e.g., “Premium,” “Wholesale”).

  • By Lifetime Spent💳 → Target customers based on their total spending in your store.

Hide Bar From🚫

  • No One🙅 → Do not hide the bar from anyone (default).

  • By Customer Tag🏷️ → Hide the bar from specific customer groups using tags.

  • By Lifetime Spent💳 → Hide the bar from customers based on their lifetime spending.

6️⃣ Set Conditions to Enable Bar ⚙️
This setting lets you control how many times the Free Shipping Bar will be displayed to your customers. You can choose from the following options:

  • Always 🔄– The bar will be shown to all visitors every time they visit your store.

Example: Always show “Free Shipping on orders over $50” to any number of times customers visit.

  • Minimum Number of Orders🛒 – The bar will only appear to customers who have already placed a certain number of orders in your store.
Example: Show the bar only to customers who have placed at least 2 orders, encouraging repeat buyers with free shipping offers.

  • Once per Email 📧– The bar will only appear once per unique email address. After a customer has seen it once, it won’t show again.
Example: Show the bar to new customers the first time they sign up, but avoid repeating it for the same email in future visits.

✅ Step 4: Save & Preview

7️⃣ Once you’ve set up your customer targeting preferences, click Save.

8️⃣ Preview your store to make sure the bar shows correctly for the intended audience.

🎯 Why Use Customer Targeting?

  • Reward loyal customers with special offers.

  • Show promotions only to first-time buyers.

  • Hide irrelevant messages from certain groups.

✨ That’s it! With customer targeting, your shipping bar will only appear to the right audience at the right time.
