A Countdown Timer ID is required whenever you want to place a Countdown manually using a Custom Position inside your Shopify store.

This ID is used to connect the storefront App Block with your selected Hoppy Countdown setup so the correct Countdown appears in the correct location.

⚠️ Before You Begin

The Countdown Timer ID becomes available only when:

• The placement is set to Custom Position
• The setup is properly saved after changing the placement

If the setup is not saved first, the Countdown Timer ID will not appear.

🛠️ Step 1 — Open Hoppy Countdown

Open the Hoppy Countdown app from your Shopify Admin.

📂 Step 2 — Open or Create a Countdown Setup

You can either:

→ Open an existing Countdown setup

→ Or create a new Countdown setup

Once the setup is opened, you can configure custom positioning settings.

⚙️ Step 3 — Navigate to the Placement Section

→ Open the Placement tab inside the Countdown setup.

This section controls where and how the Countdown appears on the storefront.

🎯 Step 4 — Change Placement to Custom Position

Inside the Placement settings:

→ Change the placement option to: Custom Position

Then:

→ Click Save

⚠️ Important:

The Countdown Timer ID will not appear until the setup is saved after selecting Custom Position.

🆔 Step 5 — Locate the Countdown Timer ID

There are multiple ways to find the Countdown Timer ID inside the Hoppy Countdown app.

📍 Method 1 — From the Countdown Setup Page

After the placement is changed to Custom Position and the setup is saved successfully:

→ A Countdown Timer ID will automatically appear inside the setup.

This ID is used to connect the storefront App Block with the selected Countdown setup.

💡 Alternatively, the Countdown Timer ID may also appear below the Countdown name and Published status.

⚠️ Custom Position must remain selected for the Countdown Timer ID to work correctly.

📍 Method 2 — From the Dashboard Table

From the main Hoppy Countdown dashboard:

1. Locate the Countdown setup from the list
2. Click the three-dot menu (⋯) beside the setup
3. Select Copy Countdown Timer ID

The Countdown Timer ID will be copied instantly without needing to open the setup page.

✨ This method is useful when quickly managing multiple Countdown setups.

📍 Method 3 — From the Countdown Header Section

Open any existing Countdown setup.

Right below the Countdown name in the header section, the Countdown Timer ID may also appear.

→ Click the copy icon beside the ID to copy it instantly.

⚠️ The Countdown must already be saved before the ID becomes available.

🧩 Using the Countdown Timer ID

Once the Countdown Timer ID becomes available:

→ Copy the Countdown Timer ID

→ Add it inside the Shopify App Block settings

This allows Shopify App Blocks to load the correct Countdown inside your selected storefront location.

⚠️ Important:

Before adding the Countdown Timer ID into the App Block:

• The placement must already be set to Custom Position
• The setup must already be Saved

Otherwise, the Countdown may not appear correctly on the storefront.

Once configured successfully:

✅ The Countdown Timer ID becomes available

✅ The Countdown can be placed manually inside custom storefront locations

✅ Shopify App Blocks can connect correctly with the selected Countdown setup
