Learn how to show your cookie banner in multiple languages.
✅ Step 1: Open the Hoppy Cookie app
1️⃣ Go to your Shopify Admin, click on Apps → Hoppy Cookie
2️⃣ This opens the Hoppy Cookie dashboard.
✅ Step 2: Access the Translation Section.
3️⃣ In the left-side menu inside Hoppy Cookie, look for the heading Hoppy Cookie.
4️⃣ Under this heading, click on Translation.
✅ Step 3: Add a New Language
5️⃣ In the Translation section, you'll see an option for Default Banner Language.

Click on the dropdown menu.

Select the language you want to add (for example: Hindi, French, Spanish, German, etc.). 🗺️

After selecting, click the Add Selected Language button. ➕
💬 Note: You can add multiple languages by repeating this process for each new language.
6️⃣ Set Language Detection Preference.

Locate Detect Language settings.

You will see two options:
-
🌐 Browser's Language – Automatically shows the banner based on the visitor's browser settings.

🏬 Store Language – Shows the banner based on the language settings of your Shopify store.

7️⃣ Manage Added Languages

After adding languages, you will see a list of all the added languages.

Each language will show its status as Active (✅), or you can deactivate/delete them anytime.
✅ Step 4: Edit the Language Texts
8️⃣ In the language list, under the Actions column for each language, you'll see a three-dot menu.

Click the three dots to open these options:

Edit✏️ – Add or update translation text.

Deactivate🚫 – Temporarily disable the language (banner will not display in that language).

Delete🗑️– Completely remove the language from your banner setup.

➡️ Click Edit to proceed.

When you click Edit, a pop-up will appear asking you to confirm changes.

Click Save Changes to move to the translation editor page.

A page will open where you need to manually add the translation text.
✅ Step 5: Fill in the Translation Fields
9️⃣ Now, enter translations for all the following fields(as shown in the image below):
✅ Step 6: Save and Apply the Translation
🔟 After entering all the translations, click the Save button.

Your translations will now be live! Visitors whose browser/store language matches will automatically see the cookie banner in their own language! 🎉
