How to set up an Email Popup?

Learn how to create and customize an Email Popup.

✅ Step 1: Install & Open the App

1️⃣ From your Shopify Admin, go to: ➡️ Apps → Hoppy Popups

2️⃣ Create a New Email Popup

Click “Create New Popup” to begin.

Choose Display Type-

  • Bar- Appears as a slim strip at the top or bottom of your website.

  • Popup- Appears as a pop-up box in the center of the screen.

✅ Step 2: Configure the Content Tab

3️⃣ In the Content tab, you’ll see several fields to customize your popup:

  • Popup Name 🏷️: Internal name for your popup

  • Title 📰: e.g., Subscribe & Get 20% Off!

  • Email Field Placeholder 💬: e.g., Enter your email address

  • Button Text 🔘: e.g., Get Offer, Subscribe Now

  • Show Coupon Code 🎟️: Select Yes or No

    • If Yes, enter your Coupon Code

  • Message for Returning Customers and 🔁: e.g., Welcome back!

  • Description for returning customers: e.g., Use the code below to get a 50% off on your next purchase:

  • Message for New Customers 🆕: e.g., Happy to see you!

  • Description for new customers: e.g. Use the code below to get a 60% off on your next purchase:

  • Add Opt-in at Checkout ✅: Choose Yes or No

  • Show Close Icon ❌: Check to allow users to dismiss the popup.

✅ Step 3: Set Trigger Options

4️⃣In the Content tab, configure:

  • Trigger Type:

    • Time (e.g., show after 5 seconds)

    • Scroll (e.g., show after user scrolls 30%)

    • Exit Intent (shows when the user moves the cursor to close the page)

  • Show Popup Timing:

    • Choose when the popup should appear (e.g., immediately, after 5 seconds, etc.)

  • Choose Display Frequency:

    • Once Every Visit: Shows once per visit

    • Limit Frequency: If closed, it will reappear on the next visit

Add Image (Optional): You can upload an image to the popup to make it visually appealing, great for showcasing a product or promotion banner.

Configure Countdown (Optional): Enable the Countdown Timer to create a sense of urgency for limited-time deals.

  • Choose the duration (e.g., 15 minutes)

  • Customize the timer’s appearance to match your brand

✅ Step 3: Customize the Design

5️⃣ In the Design tab, you can personalize your popup to match your store branding:

  • Select a Template: Choose from the available templates for different popup designs.

  • Visibility Settings: Choose where the popup shows (e.g., desktop only, mobile only, both)

  • Customize popup appearance:

  • Customize Image Settings

    • Image Layout: Decide where the image should appear- left, right, top, or Background

    • Scale & Size: Adjust the image size to fit nicely within the popup layout.

  • Customize Typography: Change font style, size, and colour

  • Customize Countdown Appearance (If enabled)

    • Change the countdown timer layout and font style.

    • Customize color, size, and alignment to match the popup.

  • Customize Button and Coupon Appearance

✅ Step 4: Set Placement

6️⃣In the Placement tab, control where the popup appears on your store:

  • Pages to Show On: Select one or more of the following:

    • Every Page: Show everywhere

    • Home Page Only: Show only on the homepage

    • All Product Pages

    • Specific Product Pages: Select individual products

    • All Collection Pages

    • Specific Collection Pages: Select specific collections

✅ Step 5: Save and Publish

7️⃣Click Save & Publish to make your email popup live on your store! 🚀
