π― Advanced Targeting Options for Free Shipping Upsell Bar
The Placement & Visibility settings in Hoppy Free Shipping give you advanced control over where, when, and to whom your Free Shipping Bar should appear.
Using these settings properly helps you create highly targeted campaigns that feel more personalized and less intrusive to customers β¨
With these targeting options, you can control:
- π Where the bar appears
- π« Where it should not appear
- βοΈ In which conditions it should appear
- β±οΈ When it should appear on the storefront
- π₯ Which group of users can see it (and who cannot)
- π From when to when the Free Shipping Bar should stay active
βΉοΈ Other than the Display On (Include) section, most Placement settings remain similar across all placement types such as:
- Product Page
- Cart Drawer
- Cart Page
- Banner / Bar
The biggest difference is simply where the Free Shipping Bar gets placed.
π 1\. Display On (Include)
This section determines where you want the Free Shipping Bar to appear.
In this example, the selected placement is Product Page.
The following display options are available:
A. All Products
Display the Free Shipping Bar across all product pages in your store, regardless of collection, tag, or product type.
β Best for stores wanting a site-wide Free Shipping experience.
B. Specific Products
Selecting this option displays a Select Product button.
This allows you to manually choose the exact product pages where the Free Shipping Bar should appear.
π― Useful when promoting:
- High-converting products
- Seasonal launches
- Best sellers
- High AOV products
C. All Products in Specific Collections
Selecting this option displays a Select Collection button.
You can then choose which collections should display the Free Shipping Bar.

D. All Products With Specific Tags
Selecting this option displays an input field where you can enter product tags.
Once the desired tag is entered, click Add.

- Tag matching is case-sensitive
- Make sure the tag is written exactly as it exists in Shopify

E. Custom Position
This option allows you to manually place the Free Shipping Bar anywhere inside your store.
Whenever you choose Custom Position, two placement methods become available:
- Shipping Bar ID
- Shipping Bar Code Snippet
1\. Shipping Bar ID
This method is ideal if you want to place the Free Shipping Bar directly using Shopifyβs Theme Editor.
To access Theme Editor, go to:
Sales Channels β Online Store β Edit Theme
Then navigate to the area where you want the Free Shipping Bar to appear.
When hovering in compatible areas, a blue-colored β icon may appear.
Click:
Add block β Apps β Free Shipping Upsell
Once added:
- Enter the Shipping Bar ID in the right sidebar
- Save the Shopify Theme
- Save the Free Shipping setup inside the Hoppy app as well

You must save both:
- Shopify Theme
- Hoppy Free Shipping setup
Otherwise, the Free Shipping Bar may not appear.
2\. Shipping Bar Code Snippet
This method is useful when you want more advanced placement flexibility.
You can:
- Add the snippet inside a Custom Liquid section in Theme Editor
- Or manually place it inside Shopify theme code files

Custom Liquid can usually be found under the Sections tab inside Shopify Theme Editor.

Do not forget to:
- Save the configuration in Hoppy Free Shipping
- Publish the setup after making changes
π« 2\. Donβt Display On (Exclude)
This section determines where the Free Shipping Bar should NOT appear.
If there are areas you want excluded from the campaign, this is where you configure them.
A. Donβt Exclude Any Product Page
This is the default option. It does not exclude any pages.
B. Donβt Show on Product Pages in Specific Collections
Use this option to exclude entire collections from displaying the Free Shipping Bar.
π Useful when excluding:
- Sale collections
- Low-margin products
- Wholesale collections
- Special campaign collections
C. Donβt Show on Specific Product Pages
This option allows you to manually exclude individual products.

This section allows you to create conditional visibility rules for the Free Shipping Bar.

A. Always Display
This is the default option.
The Free Shipping Bar will always appear unless additional conditions are enabled.
B. Minimum Number of Orders
Use this option to target customers who have already placed a minimum number of orders.
Once selected, an input field appears where you can enter the minimum order count.

Show special Free Shipping offers only to customers who have ordered at least once.
C. Show Once Per Customer
This ensures the Free Shipping Bar is shown only once during a browsing session.

D. Cart Value Is Below (Set Max Cart Value)
This option displays the Free Shipping Bar only if the cart value remains below a specified amount.
An input field appears where you can enter the maximum cart value.

E. Last Order Was More Than X Days Ago

This is the default option.
The Free Shipping Bar appears immediately.
B. Show After a While
Selecting this option displays a number-only input field.
You can enter the number of seconds after which the Free Shipping Bar should appear.

You can display the Free Shipping Bar to:

B. Hide Bar From
