π Multi Currency & Multiple Markets with Free Shipping Upsell
While it is good to target your primary market using the default Free Shipping Upsell setup, Hoppy Free Shipping also allows merchants to create different goal settings for different Shopify Markets β¨
Using the Multiple Markets feature, you can show:
- π Different Free Shipping goals
- π° Different discount values
- π Different currencies
- π― Different reward structures
for different countries and storefront markets.
This makes international Free Shipping campaigns much easier to manage while creating a more localized shopping experience for customers.
π How Multiple Markets Works
The Multiple Markets feature depends entirely on the markets configured in Shopify Markets:
β Shopify Admin β Settings β Markets
Hoppy Free Shipping automatically detects the Shopify Markets available in your store and allows separate goal configurations for them.
β οΈ Important:
If no Shopify Markets are configured, the Multiple Markets feature will not have any additional market available to setup.
π‘ Why Multiple Markets Are Useful
Letβs take an example.
Suppose your base market is:
- πΊπΈ United States
and your default setup offers:
- π Free Shipping in USD ($)
But you also sell products in:
- πͺπΈ Spain
Without Multiple Markets enabled, the storefront may continue showing:
- Dollar ($) based goals
- USD-based rewards
for customers browsing from Spain.
Using Multiple Markets allows you to create separate market-specific goals and rewards using the proper local currency and market setup π
π οΈ Step 1 β Open Hoppy Free Shipping
Open the Hoppy Free Shipping app from your Shopify Admin.
π Step 2 β Open or Create a Free Shipping Upsell
You can either:
β Open an existing Free Shipping Upsell setup
β Or create a new Free Shipping Upsell setup
π― Step 3 β Navigate to the Multiple Markets Section
Make sure you are inside the:
β Goal tab
Then:
β Scroll toward the bottom of the setup page
β Locate the Multiple Markets section
The Multiple Markets section is usually available above the Translations section.
π Step 4 β Enable Multiple Markets
Inside the Multiple Markets section:
β Enable: Enable different goal settings for each market
Then:
β Click Add Market
Once clicked, the Add Market modal will appear.
β Step 5 β Select the Market
Inside the Add Market modal:
β Select the Shopify Market you want to configure
This market list is automatically fetched from your Shopify Markets settings.
βοΈ Step 6 β Configure Market-Specific Goals
Inside the modal, you can configure market-specific information such as:
- π§Ύ Cart Empty Message
- π― Goal Amount
- π Reward Type
- π Progress Message
- π Goal Reached Message
These settings will only apply to the selected market.
β¨ Important:
Changing market-specific goals does not affect your base/default setup.
This allows each market to have completely different rewards and thresholds independently.
π‘ Example Use Case
For example:
- πΊπΈ USA Market β Free Shipping above $100
- πͺπΈ Spain Market β Free Shipping above β¬80
Both markets can now show:
- Different currencies
- Different goal values
- Different reward structures
based on the customerβs storefront market.
β Step 7 β Add the Market Setup
Once the market configuration is completed:
β Click Add Market
The configured market will then appear below the Add Market button.
πΎ Step 8 β Save & Publish
After configuring the market setup:
β Click Save at the top
β Publish the setup if needed
β οΈ Important:
Changes may not appear on the storefront until the setup is saved successfully.
βοΈ Editing Existing Market Setups
If you want to modify an already configured market:
β Click the 3-dots menu beside the Market name
From there, you can:
- Edit the market configuration
- Update rewards
- Modify messages
- Change goal values
π Final Result
Once configured successfully:
β Different markets can have different goals
β Customers see market-specific currencies
β Rewards become localized for international storefronts
β Free Shipping campaigns become easier to manage globally β¨
Using Multiple Markets properly helps create a much more localized and international-friendly shopping experience π
