Bundle bookings let customers buy a package of multiple sessions in one checkout. This works well for class packs, coaching packages, membership credits, or any service where customers book several appointments at once.

This guide walks you through setting up a bundle booking service from start to finish.

⚠️ Before You Begin

Before creating a bundle booking service, make sure you have:

• The Hoppy Appointments app installed on your Shopify store
• A Shopify product to connect to the service
• A clear idea of how many sessions the customer should select

💡 The booking type is set when the service is created and cannot be changed later. If you are unsure whether bundle is right for you, see Appointment Bookings — Types of Bookings Explained first.

🛠️ Step 1 — Create a Bundle Service

1. Open the Hoppy Appointments app
2. Go to Services
3. Click New Service
4. On the Pick a service type page, select Bundle bookings
5. Click Create service

You’ll be taken to the service editor. The booking type is already set to bundle.

🛠️ Step 2 — Configure the Booking Page

Start in the General tab.

1. Enter a Service name and Service description that explain what the bundle includes
2. Connect the service to a Shopify product
3. Add any custom contact questions you need, such as:
4. • Phone number
   • Experience level
   • Special requests

These questions appear once, after the customer has selected all their bundle slots.

🛠️ Step 3 — Configure Bundle Settings

Still in the General tab, find the Bundle settings card.

Fixed quantity

This controls whether the product price is multiplied by the number of slots selected.

• Enabled — the customer pays a flat price no matter how many slots they book. Use this for a fixed-price package like "10-Class Pack for $200."
• Disabled — the customer pays the product price multiplied by the number of slots. Use this if each session has its own price, like $30 per class.

For example, if your product is priced at $30 and the customer selects 5 slots:

• Fixed quantity off → total is $150
• Fixed quantity on → total stays $30

🛠️ Step 4 — Set Availability

Go to the Availability tab.

Configure when customers can book each session:

• Availability hours — set weekly recurring hours or date-specific availability
• Meeting duration — how long each session lasts
• Booking interval — how often time slots appear
• Buffer time — padding before or after each session
• Break times — blocked periods during the day
• Booking limit per timeslot — how many customers can book the same slot

Bundle services use the same scheduling options as regular bookings for individual sessions.

🛠️ Step 5 — Set Bundle Slot Limits

In the Availability tab, find the How many time slots can customers select? section.

Choose between:

Fixed number of slots

The customer must select exactly this many slots. For example, if you enter 5, every customer must book 5 sessions.

Range of slots

The customer can select any number between a minimum and maximum. For example, if you set Minimum: 3 and Maximum: 10, customers can book anywhere from 3 to 10 sessions.

The Continue button stays disabled until the customer selects at least the minimum number of slots.

🛠️ Step 6 — Configure Payment

Go to the Payment tab.

Bundle services are created with Pay to Book enabled by default. Here you can:

• Keep Pay to Book if customers must pay when they book
• Switch to Book without pay if payment is handled separately
• Enable partial payments if you want customers to pay a deposit upfront

🛠️ Step 7 — Save and Test

1. Click Save at the top of the service page
2. Preview the booking widget on your storefront
3. Expand a date, select a time slot, and repeat until you reach the minimum number of slots
4. Confirm the selected sessions appear in a list
5. Continue to the booking form and complete a test checkout

👀 What Customers See

1. The customer opens the booking widget
2. They expand available dates to see time slots
3. They click to select the slots they want
4. They see a running list of selected sessions
5. Once the minimum number is reached, they click Continue
6. They fill out the booking form once
7. They pay for the full bundle at checkout

After the booking is confirmed, each session appears as a separate booking in your Bookings list, all grouped under the same bundle.

⚠️ Important Notes

• Booking type cannot be changed. Once you create a bundle service, you cannot convert it to Regular or Multiday.
• Waitlist is not available for bundles. The waitlist option is hidden for bundle services.
• Look ahead is not used. Customers can book any available slot shown in the calendar.
• Each session becomes its own booking record. They are grouped together by a shared bundle ID.
• Rescheduling works per session. Customers reschedule one session at a time, not the whole bundle.

🐞 Troubleshooting

Bundle bookings is not an option when creating a service

Make sure you are clicking New Service from the Services list. The service type picker appears after that.

Customers can’t continue after selecting slots

Check the minimum selection limit in the Availability tab. Customers must select at least that many slots before the Continue button is enabled.

The total price is wrong

Check the Fixed quantity setting in the General tab:

• If fixed quantity is off, the price is multiplied by the number of slots
• If fixed quantity is on, the price stays flat regardless of slots

Waitlist option is missing

Waitlist is not available for bundle services. It is only available for Regular and Multiday services.

🎉 Final Result

Once configured:

✅ Customers can buy a package of multiple sessions in one checkout
✅ You control whether the price is per session or a flat package price
✅ Customers select their preferred dates and times from available slots
✅ Each session is booked as part of the same bundle
✅ Payment is collected through Shopify checkout
