🌍 Multi Currency & Multiple Markets with Bundles Offer

Selling to customers in different countries? The Multiple Markets feature in Hoppy Bundles lets you show different offer settings to customers in different regions β€” all from a single offer setup.

Instead of creating separate offers for every country you sell to, you can:

  • Keep one default offer for your home region (and everywhere else)
  • Add market-specific versions of the same offer β€” with their own discounts, tier quantities, titles, labels, and even free gifts

When a customer browses your store, Hoppy Bundles automatically detects which country they're shopping from and swaps in the matching market version of your offer β€” on the storefront widget and at checkout. No manual work, no duplicate offers. ✨

Where you'll find it: the Multiple Markets card on the General tab of these offer types:

  • Quantity Break (including BOGO & Buy X Get Y)
  • Category Quantity Break
  • Bundle (Combo Product)
  • Product Addons
  • BYOB (Build Your Own Bundle)

πŸ’± Understanding Multi-Currency & Markets

Before diving into the settings, it helps to know how the pieces fit together:

  • Markets are matched by country. Each market you add in Hoppy Bundles is tied to a country/region. When a visitor shops from that country, they see that market's version of the offer. Everyone else sees your default offer.
  • Currency display is handled by Shopify. The prices your customers see (and the currency they're shown in) come from your Shopify Markets setup. Hoppy Bundles doesn't convert prices itself β€” it controls which discounts and offer content apply in each region.
  • The discount that actually applies follows the same rule. At checkout, the same country-based matching happens again, so the per-market discount you configured is the one that's applied to the customer's cart. βœ…

What this means for different discount types:

  • % Discounts work exactly the same everywhere β€” 20% off is 20% off in any currency. πŸŽ‰
  • Fixed-amount discounts (Flat discount, Per-unit flat discount, Specific Price) are plain numbers. Hoppy Bundles does not auto-convert them per currency β€” which is exactly why Multiple Markets exists: you can set a different number for each market so the amount makes sense locally (e.g. 10 off in one region, 15 in another).

⚠️ Before You Begin

To configure Multiple Markets:

β†’ Open an existing offer (or create a new one) of a supported type
β†’ Go to the General tab
β†’ Scroll to the Multiple Markets card

Before you start, make sure:

  • Your store sells to multiple countries/regions. The Market dropdown is filled automatically from the regions available on your Shopify store. If you only sell to one region, there won't be anything to add.
  • Your international pricing is set up in Shopify (Shopify admin β†’ Settings β†’ Markets). Hoppy Bundles decides which offer a customer sees β€” Shopify decides which currency and prices they see.
  • Your default offer is fully configured first. Market-specific versions only override the parts you change β€” everything else (products, design, targeting) stays shared with the default offer.

ℹ️ Your store's home region is not listed in the Market dropdown β€” customers shopping from your home region always see the default offer settings.

πŸŽ›οΈ Section-by-Section Breakdown

βœ… Enable Different Offer Settings for Each Market

  • What it does: Turns the Multiple Markets feature on for this offer.
  • How to use: Tick the Enable different offer settings for each market checkbox inside the Multiple Markets card.
  • Once enabled, the Add Market button appears, and any markets you've already added are listed.

⚠️ Turning this checkbox off only hides the section in the editor β€” it does not remove market versions you've already saved. If you want to stop a market override from applying, delete that market instead (see below).

βž• Add Market

  • What it does: Opens the Add Market modal, where you pick a region and configure a market-specific version of your offer.
  • Options: Each available region can only be added once β€” regions that already have a market version are removed from the list.
  • If every available region has been added, the button shows No Markets and becomes disabled.

Click Add Market to save the market version to your offer. Remember to save the offer itself afterwards so everything is published.

🌐 Market

  • What it does: Selects which region this market version applies to.
  • How to use: Pick a region from the dropdown when adding a new market.

ℹ️ The Market selection can't be changed while editing an existing market β€” if you picked the wrong region, delete the market and add it again with the correct one.

🏷️ Block Title

  • What it does: Overrides the offer's heading text for this market only.
  • How to use: Type your title (e.g. translate it or use a region-specific message like "Summer Sale β€” UK only!").
  • Click the eye icon πŸ‘οΈ to hide the title completely for this market.

ℹ️ Not available for BYOB offers β€” BYOB uses its own bundle title instead.

  • What it does: Overrides the small footer line shown under the offer block (e.g. "Free Shipping") for this market.
  • How to use: Type your text, or click the eye icon to hide it for this market.

ℹ️ Available on Bundle, Product Addons, and Quantity Break offers. Category Quantity Break and BYOB don't include a per-market footer.

🎯 Market Tiers (Discounts)

This is the heart of the feature β€” each market gets its own set of offer tiers, completely independent from your default tiers. You can have different quantities, different discount types, and different values per market.

Discount Type

  • What it does: Chooses how the discount works for the tier in this market.
  • Options:
    • No Discount – Sell at standard price (useful as a "base" tier).
    • % Discount – e.g. 25% off. Behaves identically in every currency.
    • Flat Discount – A fixed amount off the tier (e.g. 29 off).
    • Per-Unit Flat Discount – A fixed amount off each unit in the tier.
    • Specific Price – Set the exact final price for the tier.
    • BOGO (Buy One Get One) & Buy X Get Y Free – Available on Quantity Break offers (not on Bundle, Product Addons, or BYOB). For Buy X Get Y, you can pick a different Get (Y) product per market.

πŸ’‘ For fixed-amount types (Flat, Per-Unit, Specific Price), enter the number that makes sense for this market β€” there's no automatic currency conversion, so a flat "10 off" will be applied as entered. Per-market values are your way to localize amounts.

Quantity (Quantity Break offers)

  • What it does: Sets how many items the customer must buy for this tier. Tier quantities can differ per market (e.g. 3-pack deals in one region, 5-pack deals in another).
  • You can add up to 7 tiers per market, and remove any tier except the first one.

Offer Title, Discount Label & Tag (Quantity Break offers)

  • Offer Title: The tier's heading (e.g. "3 Pack").
  • Discount Label: The badge text on the tier (e.g. "Save 20%") β€” toggle visibility with the eye icon.
  • Tag: The highlight ribbon (e.g. "Most Popular") β€” also hideable per tier.

These are fully per-market, so you can localize the wording for each region. 🌏

Free Gift (Quantity Break offers)

  • What it does: Lets you attach different free gift products per market to a tier.
  • How to use: Enable Free gift on the tier, click Select Products, and pick the gift(s) for that market.

Products in this Pack (Category Quantity Break offers)

  • What it does: For tiers with a quantity above 1, choose exactly which products belong to that pack β€” per market.
  • How to use: Click Add Products to this Level and pick the products for this region's pack.

🧺 BYOB Per-Market Discount

For BYOB (Build Your Own Bundle) offers, the market form works a little differently β€” instead of tiers, each market gets its own single discount plus its own qualifying rules:

  • Bundle Title: The offer title shown for this market.
  • Type & Discount Value: Same discount types as above (No Discount, %, Flat, Per-Unit Flat, Specific Price). The Discount value field only appears when a discount type other than No Discount is selected.
  • Discount Based On: Chooses what the customer needs to reach before the discount kicks in β€” and it's configurable per market:
    • Cart total amount β†’ reveals Minimum cart value: the discount applies when the bundle's total item value reaches this amount.
    • Product quantity β†’ reveals Minimum quantity, plus the Count only unique products checkbox (counts distinct products instead of total items).

ℹ️ For Cart total amount, the value is always evaluated before any discounts are applied. Order-level discounts (like a whole-cart percentage code) are not considered when checking the minimum.

✏️ Edit or Delete a Market

  • Every added market appears in the Multiple Markets card with a β‹― menu beside it.
  • Edit Market β†’ reopens the same modal so you can adjust tiers, titles, or values. (The Market dropdown stays locked while editing.)
  • Delete β†’ asks for confirmation, then permanently removes that market version. Customers from that region fall back to your default offer.

⚠️ Important Notes

  • Fallback is always the default offer. If a customer shops from a region you haven't added, they simply see your normal offer β€” nothing breaks.
  • One version per region. Each region can only be added once per offer.
  • Fixed amounts don't convert. Flat, per-unit, and specific-price values are applied exactly as entered β€” set them per market if you want localized amounts.
  • Disabling the toggle β‰  disabling the overrides. Unticking Enable different offer settings for each market only hides the section β€” delete markets you no longer want applied.
  • Markets are matched by the customer's detected country, both on the storefront widget and at checkout β€” so what the customer sees on the product page is the same discount they get in the cart. πŸ”„
  • Not available for Product Upsell (Slider) offers.
  • Changes only go live after you save the offer.

πŸ’‘ Examples & Use Cases🏷️ Different discount depth per region

Run 20% off in the US but 15% off in the UK on the same product β€” one offer, two market versions.

πŸ’Ά Localized fixed discounts
Your default offer gives a flat 10 off. Add a market version for another region with a value that feels right in the local price range, instead of relying on conversion.

πŸ“¦ Region-specific pack sizes
Sell 2-pack and 4-pack tiers at home, but add a market with 3-pack and 6-pack tiers where bulk buying is more common.

🎁 Market-specific free gifts
Gift a cap with 3+ items domestically, but gift a pair of socks for the same tier internationally β€” each market picks its own gift products.

πŸ—£οΈ Localized messaging
Keep the same discounts but change the Block Title and labels per market β€” "Summer Blowout!" in one region, "Winter Warmers Sale" in another.

🧺 BYOB with different thresholds
Require a minimum of 4 items for the bundle discount at home, but a minimum cart value abroad where average order values differ.

πŸš€ Final Result

Once configured and saved, the Multiple Markets feature gives every customer a localized offer experience β€” automatically:

βœ… Customers in each region see the tiers, discounts, and messages meant for them
βœ… Checkout applies the same market-specific discount shown on the storefront
βœ… Percentage discounts work consistently across all currencies
βœ… Fixed-amount discounts can be tuned per market for local pricing
βœ… Regions without a market version safely fall back to your default offer
βœ… One offer setup covers your entire international storefront 🌍

Set it up once, and Hoppy Bundles handles the rest β€” the right offer, in front of the right customer, in the right market. ✨
