🌍 Bundles Offer β€” Translation

Hoppy Bundles allows merchants to create translations for the customer-facing texts shown inside their bundle offers.

This helps stores provide a more localized shopping experience for customers browsing the storefront in different languages ✨

Translations can be added for any offer type in Hoppy Bundles:

  • πŸ“¦ Bundle / Combo offers
  • πŸ“Š Quantity Breaks (Volume Discounts)
  • πŸ—‚οΈ Category Quantity Breaks
  • 🧱 Build Your Own Bundle (BYOB)
  • πŸ›οΈ Frequently Bought Together / Upsell Slider
  • βž• Product Add-ons

Depending on the offer type, you can translate things like:

  • 🏷️ Offer Title
  • πŸ“ Description, Footer text & Total text
  • πŸ”˜ Button (CTA) texts
  • πŸŽ–οΈ Discount labels, Tags, Subtitles & the Highlighted Tag
  • πŸ“Œ BYOB Sticky Bar text

🌐 Before Adding Translations

Before translations can be added inside Hoppy Bundles, the language must already exist inside your Shopify store settings.

Hoppy Bundles automatically detects the languages configured in:

β†’ Shopify Admin β†’ Settings β†’ Languages

Only the languages configured there will become available inside the app for translation.

⚠️ Important:

  • If a language is not added in Shopify Settings first, it will not appear in the Translation section inside Hoppy Bundles.
  • Your store's primary (default) language is not listed β€” the offer texts you write while creating the offer are already in that language. Translations are only needed for your additional languages.

πŸ’‘ Inside the Translation section there is a shortcut link β€” "Add languages in Shopify Settings to translate" β€” that takes you straight to Shopify Admin β†’ Settings β†’ Languages if you need to add a new language first.

πŸ› οΈ Step 1 β€” Open Hoppy Bundles

Open the Hoppy Bundles app from your Shopify Admin.

Then:

β†’ Open an existing offer β†’ Or create a new offer (Bundle, Quantity Break, BYOB, Upsell, Add-ons β€” translations work the same way for all of them)

🎯 Step 2 β€” Navigate to the Translation Section

Once the offer setup is opened:

β†’ Make sure you are inside the General tab β†’ Scroll toward the bottom of the setup page β†’ Locate the Translation section This section allows you to add translated versions of the customer-facing texts shown in the offer widget on your storefront.

βž• Step 3 β€” Add a Translation

Inside the Translation section:

β†’ Click Add translation

Once clicked, a Translation modal will appear.

Inside this modal, you can:

  • Select the language
  • Enter the translated texts for your offer
  • Configure storefront-facing translation content

πŸ’‘ The language dropdown only shows languages that don't have a translation yet. To translate into more languages, simply add them one by one.

✍️ Step 4 β€” Configure Translation Content

Inside the Translation modal, manually enter the translated text you want customers to see on the storefront.

The fields available depend on the offer type:

πŸ“¦ Bundle, Category Quantity Break, Upsell Slider & Product Add-ons:

  • Title
  • Footer text
  • Total text
  • CTA text (the button label)
  • Highlighted Tag

πŸ“Š Quantity Breaks (Volume Discounts) β€” everything above, plus per-offer-tier texts:

  • Offer title
  • Discount Label
  • Tag
  • Subtitle

🧱 Build Your Own Bundle (BYOB):

  • Title
  • Description
  • CTA text
  • Sticky Bar Text
  • Product Card CTA Text (the "Add" button on each product)

⚠️ Important:

For BYOB Sticky Bar Text, do not remove the dynamic variable:

  • {target}

This variable is required β€” it gets replaced with the required quantity on the storefront.

πŸ’‘ Example Translation

If your base Sticky Bar Text is:

"Add {target} more items to get the discount"

then a French translation could look like:

"Ajoutez {target} articles de plus pour obtenir la rΓ©duction"

Notice that the variable {target} is still preserved inside the translated message.

This ensures the quantity updates dynamically on the storefront ✨

βœ… Step 5 β€” Confirm & Save

Once the translations are added:

β†’ Click Confirm translation inside the modal β†’ Click Save on the offer setup page β†’ Publish the offer (if not already live)

After saving, customers browsing your storefront in the selected language will automatically see the translated offer texts.

This creates a more localized and user-friendly storefront experience 🌍

✏️ Managing Existing Translations

Every translation you add appears as a row inside the Translation section.

Click the β‹― (more options) button next to a language to:

  • Edit translation β€” update the translated texts anytime
  • Delete β€” remove the translation completely

⚠️ Important:

Deleting a translation can't be undone β€” the app will ask you to confirm before removing it.

πŸ›’ How Translations Behave on the Storefront

Hoppy Bundles automatically detects the language your customer is browsing in (the storefront locale) and shows the matching translation.

  • βœ… If a translation exists for the customer's language β†’ the translated texts are shown
  • βœ… If no translation exists for that language β†’ the original offer texts are shown instead
  • βœ… Fields left untranslated simply fall back to the original text β€” nothing breaks

πŸ’‘ This means you can translate as many (or as few) fields as you like, and add more languages later whenever you're ready.

πŸŽ‰ Final Result

Once configured successfully:

βœ… Customers see bundle offers in their own language βœ… Dynamic values like {target} update correctly inside translated texts βœ… Multiple storefront languages become supported βœ… Shopping experience feels more localized and personalized ✨

Using translations properly can significantly improve customer experience for international storefront visitors πŸš€
