⚠️ Before You Begin

Before setting up your Cookie Consent Banner, make sure:

• GDPR EU Cookie Banner is installed
• You have access to your Shopify Admin
• You have permission to edit your Shopify theme

⚠️ The Cookie Banner will not appear until the App Embed is enabled.

✅ Step 1: Enable the App Embed

For the Cookie Consent Banner to appear on your storefront, the App Embed must be enabled inside your Shopify theme.

Go to:

Shopify Admin → Sales Channels → Online Store → Themes → Edit Theme → App Embeds

Then:

• Locate Cookie PopUp/Banner
• Toggle it ON
• Click Save

💡 You can also use the Turn On option inside the app, which opens the Shopify Theme Editor directly.

✅ Step 2: Open Banner Settings

Open the GDPR EU Cookie Banner app from your Shopify Admin.

Then either:

→ Click Setup Your Cookie Banner from the Dashboard

→ Open Banner Settings from the left-side navigation menu

⚠️ Saving the banner configuration alone is not enough.

The App Embed must also remain enabled for the banner to appear on the storefront.

→ Use an Incognito or Private browsing window
