This guide walks through the complete setup process, from onboarding to configuring currencies and storefront placement.

⚠️ Before You Begin

Before setting up the Currency Converter, make sure:

• Your Shopify store is active
• Products with prices are available on the storefront
• You have access to your Shopify Admin

💡 The Currency Converter relies on Shopify's price formatting and theme integration, so a short onboarding process is required before it can begin converting prices correctly.

✅ Step 1: Enable the App Embed

For the Currency Converter to appear on your storefront, the app embed must be enabled inside your Shopify theme.

Go to:

Shopify Admin → Sales Channels → Online Store → Themes → Edit Theme → App Embeds

Then:

• Find Currency Convertor
• Toggle it ON
• Click Save

Once enabled, the app can display the Currency Converter on your storefront.

✅ Step 2: Complete the Onboarding Setup

When opening the app for the first time, you'll be guided through a short onboarding process.

This setup ensures your theme is configured correctly before the Currency Converter goes live.

📝 Configure Money Format

The Currency Converter identifies price elements using Shopify's money formatting settings.

Inside the onboarding:

• Copy the money formats generated by the app
• Open:

Shopify Admin → Settings → General → Store defaults → Currency display → Change currency formatting

Paste the generated values into:

• HTML with currency
• HTML without currency

Then:

🔌 Enable Theme Extension

👀 Verify the Setup

After completing the previous steps:

• Visit your storefront
• Confirm the Currency Converter is visible
• Return to the app
• Click Complete Onboarding

Once completed, all app settings become available.

✅ Step 3: Select Supported Currencies

Open:

Settings → General

Locate:

Select Currencies

Use the dropdown to choose the currencies you would like customers to see.
