Want to charge less for delivery when customers spend more — or offer free delivery above a certain order value? 🛒

The Delivery Rates By Price rule lets you set a delivery charge based on the order total. It’s perfect for setups like “₹50 delivery under ₹500, free delivery above ₹500”.

📋 Before You Begin

• ✅ You’ve created a delivery zone — see How to Setup Delivery Rates and Zones?
• ✅ You know the order-value ranges you want to charge for

⚙️ Step 1 — Open the Rate Rule Popup

Open the Hoppy Delivery Dates app.

→ Go to Rates → Edit your zone → under Delivery Rates By Price, click Add Rate By Price.

🏷️ Step 2 — Name and Price the Rate

Fill in the shared rate fields at the top of the popup:

• Delivery Rate Name → appears on the checkout page along with the charges (e.g. Standard Delivery)
• Delivery Rate Description → appears on the checkout page along with the name (e.g. Delivered within 2–3 days)
• Delivery Rate → the amount to charge. Set it to 0 for free delivery 🎁

⚠️ All three fields are required.

💡 Customers see the name and description at checkout, so write them like shipping option labels — clear and friendly.

💵 Step 3 — Set the Order Value Range

Now define when this rate applies:

• Minimum Order Value → the lowest order total this rate applies to (e.g. 100)
• Maximum Order Value → the highest order total this rate applies to (e.g. 999)

⚠️ Both fields are required — use a very high maximum (e.g. 999999) if there’s no upper limit.

Example Setup

• Rate 1 → ₹50 for orders from 0 to 499
• Rate 2 → ₹0 (free delivery 🎉) for orders from 500 to 999999

→ Click Add to save the rule, then Add Zone / Update Zone, then Save in the save bar.

ℹ️ Good to Know

• ℹ️ You can add multiple price rules to one zone — the first rule whose range contains the order total is used.
• ℹ️ Price rules are checked before weight, product, time, day, and multi condition rules in the same zone.
• 💡 If several rates match at checkout, the Multiple Rates at Checkout setting on the Rates page decides whether customers see all, the highest, or the lowest — see How to Setup Delivery Rates and Zones?.

Once saved:

✅ Customers in the zone see a delivery rate based on their order total
✅ Bigger orders can unlock cheaper — or free — delivery
✅ The rate name and description show up clearly at checkout
