🚀 Location How to Configure Fulfillment Type

Not every branch works the same way — some deliver, some only offer pickup, and many do both đŸššđŸ›ī¸

The Fulfillment type tab lets you decide exactly what each location offers, set minimum order values, and restrict delivery to specific zip/postal codes.

In this guide, you'll learn how to:

  • ✅ Enable Local Delivery and/or Store Pickup (Takeaway)
  • 💰 Set a minimum order value per method
  • 📮 Limit delivery to specific zip/postal codes

📋 Before You Begin

  • You've created a location and filled in its name and address (see Location: How to Set Up Address and Availability Status)
  • You know which fulfillment methods this location supports
  • (Optional) You have the list of zip/postal codes this location delivers to

âš™ī¸ Step 1 — Open the Fulfillment Type Tab

→ Go to Settings → Delivery & Pickup → Click Edit on your location → Open the Fulfillment type tab

✅ Step 2 — Choose the Fulfillment Methods

Under Fulfillment type, tick the methods this location offers:

  • Local Delivery → you deliver orders to the customer's address 🚚
  • Store Pickup (Takeaway) → customers collect orders from this location đŸ›ī¸

âš ī¸ At least one method must stay enabled — the app won't let you untick the last remaining one.

â„šī¸ Turning Local Delivery off also automatically turns off the Same as Local Delivery option for Store Pickup in the other tabs, so pickup keeps its own independent settings.

💰 Step 3 — Set a Minimum Order Value (Optional)

Below the checkboxes you'll find Minimum order value (Optional) — handy if small orders aren't worth a delivery run.

One field appears for each method you've enabled:

  • For Local Delivery → shown only when Local Delivery is ticked
  • For Store Pickup → shown only when Store Pickup (Takeaway) is ticked

Example

  • For Local Delivery → 100 → customers need a cart of at least ₹100 to choose delivery

Leave a field empty if there's no minimum for that method.

📮 Step 4 — Restrict Delivery by Zip/Postal Codes

The Delivery by zip/postal codes card controls which areas this location serves.

🔀 Matching Type

Choose how customer zip codes are compared against your list:

  • Partial match (default) → the customer's zip code only needs to contain one of your entries
  • Exact match → the customer's zip code must match an entry exactly

Example

Your list contains 4000:

  • Partial match → 400050 ✅ matches
  • Exact match → 400050 ❌ does not match

💡 Partial match is great when you want to cover a whole area with one prefix. Use exact match when you need precise control.

📮 Zip/Postal Codes

→ Enter the zip/postal codes this location delivers to.

đŸšĢ Zip/Postal Codes to Exclude

→ (Optional) Enter codes that should be blocked, e.g. 10004, 10005.

Use this to carve out exceptions — for example, match a whole region partially but exclude a few specific codes inside it.

💾 Final Step — Save

→ Click Save in the save bar at the top of the page.

🎉 Final Result

Once saved:

✅ The location offers exactly the fulfillment methods you selected ✅ Minimum order values apply per method (if set) ✅ Delivery is restricted to your zip/postal codes with your chosen matching rule ✅ Next up: define when orders can be scheduled — see Location: How to Set Time Slots and Order Limits
