🚀 Location How to Set Up Address and Availability Status

Every location needs two basics before it can work for you: whether it's visible to customers, and where it actually is 📍

The Location setup tab covers both — and it takes less than a minute to fill in.

In this guide, you'll learn how to:

  • đŸŸĸ Enable or disable a location for customers
  • ✏ī¸ Give the location a recognizable name
  • 🏠 Enter the full address and contact details

📋 Before You Begin

  • You've created at least one location (see Location: How to Create and Manage a Location?)
  • You have the location's address and phone number ready

âš™ī¸ Step 1 — Open the Location Setup Tab

→ Go to Settings → Delivery & Pickup → Click Edit on the location you want to set up

The Location setup tab opens by default — it's the first tab in the left menu of the location editor.

đŸŸĸ Step 2 — Set the Location Availability Status

At the top of the tab you'll find Location Availability Status.

â„šī¸ As the helper text says: "Customers will only see locations that are enabled."

Use the dropdown to choose:

  • Enable → the location shows up in the date picker for customers đŸŸĸ
  • Disable → the location is hidden from customers without losing any of its settings 🔴

The badge next to it — Active or Inactive — always reflects the current status at a glance.

💡 Disabling is great for temporary situations: a branch under renovation, a holiday closure, or a location you're not ready to launch yet.

✏ī¸ Step 3 — Enter the Location Name

→ Fill in Location name.

Example

  • Downtown Store
  • Andheri Warehouse
  • Brooklyn Pickup Point

💡 Choose a name customers will recognize — this is how they'll tell your branches apart when choosing where to pick up or receive an order.

🏠 Step 4 — Fill in the Address

Under the Address heading, complete the fields:

  • Country/Region → e.g. India (new locations start with India pre-filled)
  • Address → street address, e.g. 42 MG Road
  • Apartment, suite, etc. → optional, e.g. Suite 3B
  • City → e.g. Mumbai
  • State → e.g. Maharashtra
  • PIN code → the postal/zip code of the location
  • Phone Number → contact number for the location

âš ī¸ Don't confuse the PIN code here (the location's own postal code) with the delivery zip codes you can configure under the Fulfillment type tab — those define which customers this location serves. See Location: How to Configure Fulfillment Type for that.

💾 Final Step — Save

→ Click Save in the save bar at the top of the page.

🎉 Final Result

Once saved:

✅ The location has a clear, customer-friendly name ✅ Its availability status controls whether customers can see it ✅ The full address and phone number are stored with the location ✅ You're ready to configure what this location offers — head to Location: How to Configure Fulfillment Type
