Some shipping slots can only handle so much — maybe your courier picks up a fixed number of parcels, or your packing table gets crowded after 20 orders 📦

With the Limit number of orders per slot option in Hoppy Delivery Dates, you can cap exactly how many orders each Standard Shipping slot can accept.

📋 Before You Begin

Make sure:

• ✅ Standard Shipping is turned on in Settings → Standard Shipping
• ✅ The Enable slots (Optional) checkbox is ticked — the limit lives inside the slot configuration

⚙️ Step 1 — Open the Slots & Order Limits Card

→ Go to Settings → Standard Shipping

→ Scroll to the Slots & Order Limits card

This card holds your slot type, your weekly time slots, and the order limit option ⚙️

✅ Step 2 — Enable the Order Limit

→ Tick the Limit number of orders per slot checkbox.

As soon as it's enabled, every time slot in your list gets an extra number field with an orders suffix — right next to the slot's start and end time.

🔢 Step 3 — Set the Limit for Each Slot

For each time slot, type the maximum number of orders that slot should accept.

Example

Your Monday slots could look like this:

• 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM → 10 orders
• 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM → 10 orders
• 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM → 5 orders

💡 Give your busiest hours a higher limit and quieter hours a lower one — that way demand spreads naturally across the day.

⚠️ The limit is set per slot, per day. If you manage each weekday separately, remember to repeat this on every day tab (Mon – Sun). If you ticked Use same time slots for all days, you only need to set it once.

💾 Step 4 — Save Your Changes

→ Click Save in the save bar at the bottom of the page.

🎉 Final Result

Once saved:

• ✅ Every shipping slot has its own order capacity
• ✅ Customers can only book slots that still have room
• ✅ Popular time windows can't be overbooked anymore 🎉
